Reporting to the CEO, you will be appointed as Resident Manager or Director under Section 13 of the Trust Companies Act & Regulation 9 of the Trust Companies Regulations by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Under Guidelines on Criteria for the Grant of a Trust Business licence in accordance to Trust Companies Act (Act 11 of 2005), Regulation 8 of the Regulations requires a licensed trust company to have at least two resident managers.
The Resident Manager needs to fulfil the Fit & Proper Criteria which are set out in Regulation 9 of the Regulations. You must have acceptable tertiary qualifications or professional qualifications.
At least one resident manager must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience. All other resident managers must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Tertiary degree or professional qualifications
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in a trust company or related company in the trust industry
- Possess work experience in Compliance or Trust Administration, or other relevant areas within the trust industry
- Fulfil the Fit & Proper Criteria set out in Regulation 9 of the Trust Companies Regulations
