The Markets Solution Asia (MSA) Sales is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of Corporates, Financial Institutions (FI) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) clients.

Resourceful in acquiring clients through targeted relationship building, networking and referrals, you provide advice on customised products, services and solutions, as well as cross-sell the full suite of MSA products, while maintaining compliance with organisational and regulatory policies.

You will apply your deep FI and NBFI industry knowledge to deliver specific solutions to the clients and therefore contributes to MSA Sales’ financial targets.

You will identify and prospect new clients and business opportunities, and manage the attrition of existing clients. You will develop and maintain the ongoing relationships with clients to provide quality service and will make regular visits to clients, log call reports and ensure effective follow-ups.

You will manage an assigned client portfolio of Corporates, FIs and NBFIs on a regular basis to ensure their financial objectives are met. You will closely monitor client activities through client database on revenue, volume, interests and products, and will respond to clients’ queries relating to credit, deposits, products and operational issues.

You will understand the requirements for working with sovereigns and different client types and will obtain market intelligence (market trends, competitors) for the timely execution of sales strategies.

You will ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering – Financing of Terrorism (AML-FT) policies and procedures in order to effectively mitigate and manage risk.

You will develop and implement customised strategic plans for clients based on knowledge of their industry, growth projections, funding strategies and objectives. You will cross sell products by leveraging on FI and NBFI relationships, including coordinating with other business units and product specialists to market MSA products and services for customised solutions.

You will provide ideas to ensure the optimal client reach and product exposure for effective operations that optimise delivery to clients and will enable the bank to differentiate itself from the competition.

You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/ seminars/ conferences to effectively advise clients and to keep abreast of market developments.

You will collaborate with the CRD team on analysis, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of limit requests. You will gain understanding of the bank and the Group in order to drive new business revenue and to deliver an effective sales distribution of the Bank’s FX, money market, capital market, investment and fund products/ services.

You will collaborate with other units of the Bank/ Group to capture business opportunities among APAC clients by offering value-added products and solutions (e.g. funds, hedging solutions).

You will comply with the Bank’s regulatory policies and guidelines and adhere to the internal credit limit framework and Financial Risk Limits set by the Risk Management Department.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Finance, Computer Science, Business or Engineering
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Completed the relevant CMFAS and FMRP module examinations
  • Possess decorum and business acumen to interact with the various stakeholders, including the other MSA teams and departments of the bank
  • Good team player who is organised and has sound time management skills
  • Proven track record of working with FIs and NBFIs
  • An effective communicator who is able to influence others and negotiate
  • Demonstrate high level of work integrity towards clients, colleagues and other counterparties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
