You will support the revenue generating activities of the private bank through timely and risk-controlled delivery of the appropriate investment solutions.

You will assume primary responsibility of the investment processes with the aim of increasing client penetration, share of wallet, product distribution and annuity incomes using in-house and third-party products, with a commensurate increase in profitability for the bank.

You will support the Global Investment Committee in shaping the house views and messages with consistency. As owner and ambassador for the asset allocation process and model portfolio management, you will work with key stakeholders in the population of the portfolios, whether internal or external, and be accountable for the generation of five risk models, their upkeep and final delivery into the relationship centres.

You will promote suitable portfolios to the client base as per clients’ risk profile and create and manage model portfolios using all the tools at the bank’s disposal and be responsible for their performance against the agreed benchmarks. You will suggest and support the strategic and tactical asset allocations and be a proactive member of the Global Investment Committee in providing inputs and views, as required.

You will support the asset allocation framework through education of the RMs and clients through regular seminars, presentations, monthly reviews of portfolio performance, with details around attribution, etc. You will also promote the understanding and acceptance of portfolio products, wherever and whenever possible, especially amongst RMs who are not presently actively marketing those products.

You will work with RMs to help them understand and manage their client portfolios by comparing them to the model portfolios, and will generate incremental sales of focus products through close cooperation with the RM teams in Hong Kong and Singapore.

You will identify target clients within the internal staff in Asia Pacific and will develop profitable business relationships with these target clients using a focused sales approach.

  • Degree holder in Finance, Business or related discipline
  • At least 6 – 8 years of investment consulting experience in private banking
  • Good understanding of financial and investment markets
  • Analytical mind and sensitive to financial market trends
  • Strong ability to converse on Mandarin with North Asian RMs and clients
