Be a member of the Structured Loan Closing team within the APAC Loan Operations function, responsible for liaising with business and reviewing of all APAC Structured Loan documents to ensure operational workability.

You will mainly setup and maintain all APAC Structured Loan facilities in the Bank’s systems including borrower and lender details, loan economic details, collateral details and account setups.

You will process any trading of loan positions in the secondary market ensuring system records and documentation is accurately executed. You will respond to queries from borrowers, lenders and investors working closely with the Front Office, Credit Risk Management and General Counsel teams where needed.

You will be responsible to document financial and legal covenant requirements, monitoring borrower compliance for submission of financial covenants and processing waiver requests on financial or legal events during the lifecycle of the loan.

The APAC Structured Loan Servicing Operations amalgamates the loan operations function for APAC Financing Group (AFG), Asset Finance and Loan Syndication businesses. The team is strategically and functionally responsible for the full spectrum of APAC Structured Lending Operations for Investment Banking division of the bank as Facility and Security Agent.

The main function is to maintain all the client portfolio of syndicated and bilateral facilities collaborating with Borrowers, Lenders and all other syndicate members for documentation of primary and secondary trades covering both syndicated and bilateral deal structures.

The team also collaborates with business partners and support functions for Client Onboarding, Documentation, Deal Maintenance and Loan Servicing, and Exception management i.e. team is responsible to liaise with borrowers, lenders and investors on fundings, drawdown, rollover, fee payment, pre/repayment and trade settlements.

  • Outstanding understanding and working experience on structured APLMA loan documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field. Master’s degree is preferable
  • More than 7 years of loan industry expertise within an international financial institution or specialist lender/ agent organization
  • Proven working experience on closing new facilities and amendments for APAC clients towards origination, syndications and secondary trades
  • Working experience on Financial Covenants and Conditions Subsequent maintenance and monitoring the process of legal documents recorded in loan agreements
  • Managing Financial Covenants and Conditions subsequent Compliance Reports and reporting receipts, outstanding and future receivables to business, credit, legal and management
  • Possess Security agent responsibilities to monitor collaterals related to the deals including but not limited to MTM and top up/top down
  • Working Experience on Financial Applications and specifically Loan IQ experience will be solid advantage
  • Able to build relationships and work swiftly to liaise with other departments within the bank (front office, middle office back office) as well as external contacts (Borrowers, other Banks, Trustees, etc)
  • Able to make sound business decisions by comprehensively thinking about up and downstream impacts as well as collaborate with others from team requirements. Has proven record of accomplishment for strong risk and control management
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills as well as the ability to inspire change based on data
  • Can operate in a fast-paced organization under pressure while supporting business with outstanding written and verbal communication skills to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
  • Dedicated and result oriented to work on own initiatives as well as team objectives to deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
